ILLUSTRATION AND VISUAL NARRATIVE (IVN) - Task 3

 Week 10

This week's material is about an every day quote poster which is a combination of IVN and DPI.

Process

Since my quote of choice is "Connect With Your Soul" i type the word "Connect" using Futura STD font and expand it as an object and change the outline stroke into a brush, using the smoky brush i got from a website and apply Diffuse Glow effect to make it seem holy and i did the same with "With Your".

For the word "Soul" i did the same technique as above, the only difference is that i only activate the outline stroke and change it into the smoke brush and add diffuse glow as effect.

As for layout, i played around with the rotation a little bit and placed it accordingly.

Final Outcome

After adding some color, this is the final result.

Even though this project is fun to do i still encounter some problems on the way. For example, the brushes i used in the poster is pretty hard to find because there are almost no free ones, most of them have to be bought in order to use it. The other problem i encounter is my software keeps on crashing before i could even save the file and i have to redo it almost all of them.
