DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND IMAGING (DPI) - Week 7

 This week we do not have any class because it is independent learning week.

Although, the teacher did gave us some tasks to do and will be checked by week 9

One of the task that were given to us was the double exposure

PART 1

Following the tutorial that were given, i tried it on my own

First, i masked out the woman in the picture using magic wand and refine it after that

Next i added curves to add some Highlights and Shadows to it

Then i use clipping mask to mask the tree then duplicate it and mirror it horizontally 

Fourth, i added some details (Birds and Clouds) to make the environment more lively

PART 2

As for my own double exposure, i decided to go for a Japanese theme more specifically, Sakura or Cherry Blossom.

First, i insert my picture, i took it while i was on a plane on the way to Malaysia

Next i found a picture of a pathway to a shrine on pinterest then use clipping mask

Here i added a lot of Sakura themed PNGs such as the umbrella, Sakura petals, etc

Here i added some colors to make it more vibrant such as curves, levels and gradient map

Some of the issues that i faced while doing this task is, the teacher was a bit unclear with the tutorial, you have to use clipping mask first then add the background, but the teacher did not state it in the tutorial.
